Bio:
William Frantz is a current Ph.D. student in the Biomedical Engineering Program. In May 2022, he graduated summa cum laude from Washington State University with a bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering and a minor in Mathematics. During his time in undergraduate, he worked on various chemistry-based projects including the small molecule synthesis of a quorum sensing inhibitor for enzyme directed immunostimulants, and the synthesis of the protein granulin A for the treatment of frontotemporal dementia. The focus of his current research is the characterization and optimization of vaporizable endoskeletal droplets, a class of ultrasound contrast agents with potential applications in x-ray acoustic imaging. In his free time, he enjoys playing the drums and watching movies.
