Pronouns: (She, Her)
Level of degree currently pursuing: PhD
Home: Naperville, IL
Education: M.S. in Aerospace Engineering with certificate in Biomedical Engineering, CU Boulder; B.S. in Aerospace Engineering with minor in Biomedical Engineering, CU Boulder
Research Interests: Space medicine, wearable sensor systems, ultrasound, physiological monitoring, astronaut training and performance
Additional info: My research is focused at the intersection of human spaceflight, medicine, and wearable sensor systems. In my work, I'm developing and refining algorithms to autonomously detect the incidence and severity of decompression sickness from ultrasound images. The big-picture is to implement this software onto future wearable ultrasound patches to monitor for decompression sickness which astronauts are on EVA! I also work with Denver Health and CU Anshutz to characterize long-term retention of ultrasound skills in astronaut-mimicking groups. Outside of bioastronautics, I love spending my free time skiing, biking, running, cooking, painting, and starting tons of side projects!
Fav. Hobby: Skiing!
