Prof. Z. Jason Ren recently received a new grant from the National Science Foundation (1510682:听Systematical Modeling and Control of Microbial Electrochemical Activities towards Efficient Electrical Energy Harvesting). He is working with collaborators in electrical engineering to develop novel electrical systems for more efficient energy harvesting from microbial electrochemical systems, which is a new platform technology to convert wastewater into energy source.听
