The 12th Annual RMSAWWA/RMWEA Student Conference will be held in Las Cruces, NM on Thursday May 21th, 2015

Message from Karl Linden

CU has hosted this in the past and we have always had a contingent of students participating from CU in this. When it was at CU a whole group from NM came to our event. In fact CU students often come home with best presentation/paper/poster awards. serious resume builders..... really.

I strongly encourage you to submit an abstract and make a road trip out of it with a few of your student colleagues (and adventurous professors). Talk to your major professor/advisor, or me, if you are interested.

We will find support for you in renting a van or helping pay for gas in car pools if a group goes down. Students from Mines and CSU will also be going and we can coordinate with them.

Its all about your network of current and future colleagues and new friends that you will meet. Try it.

Message from Zachary Stoll

Greetings from New Mexico State University! My name is Zachary Stoll and this year, I will be organizing the 12th Annual RMSAWWA/RMWEA Student Conference, which will be held in Las Cruces, NM on Thursday May 21th, 2015! We are now accepting abstracts and would be thrilled if you and your students could attend!! The conference will have oral and poster presentations, with the submission deadline being Monday March 16th, 2015,

To submit an abstract, please fill out Abstract Submissions document attached below. I have attached the Call for Abstracts and Poster Guidelines documents below as well. For everyone’s convenience there is also a website (still under construction but accessible) where you can find updates/announcements, all the files (which can be downloaded), hotel information, directions, airport transportation and venue information.

Because the conference is on a Thursday, we thought some people may be interested in staying for a couple days to see what the area has to offer. For those interested, we are putting up a “Things to Do and See” section on our website that include our favorite places to sightsee, grab an authentic Mexican meal and/or a cold beverage.
