Meaghan is an environmental social scientist whose research examines human dimensions of climate change, including:

  1. The science-policy interface and collaborative knowledge production for climate adaptation and mitigation

  2. Adaptive capacities and the dynamics of vulnerability to climate change within socio-ecological systems

  3. Media coverage and science communication about climate changeÌý

She is a member of theÌý, which monitors and analyzes trends in global coverage and communication about climate change in the media. She has carried out research in East and Southern Africa, South Asia, Europe, and the U.S.

Meaghan has held positions at: the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine; the University of Leeds, UK; and the Center for International Climate and Environmental Research (CICERO) in Oslo, Norway.ÌýMeaghan hasÌýa B.A. in Environmental Science from Colorado College, an M.A. in Climate and Society from Columbia University, and a Ph.D. in Environmental Studies from the Â鶹ÊÓƵ.
