Professor Van Boven's research lies at the intersection of social psychology,Ìýenvironmental psychology, and political psychology. He examines the social,Ìýemotional, and cognitive processes that shape judgments and decisions inÌýenvironmental and political contexts. Professor Van Boven is PrincipalÌýInvestigator of the Emotion, Judgment, Decision, and Identity lab, whichÌýincludes two faculty, several doctoral students, and undergraduate researchÌýassistants. Professor Van Boven has continuous external funding from theÌýNational Science Foundation and the Templeton Foundation. He has been anÌýinvited speaker at major universities in North America, Europe, and theÌýUnited Kingdom. In addition to writing for academic audiences, ProfessorÌýVan Boven has written about psychology, politics, and the environment forÌýthe New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Politico, and The Washington Post.
