Julie Carr is the author of 11 books of poetry and prose, including听颁濒颈尘补迟别,听co-written with Lisa Olstein (Essay Press 2022),听Real Life: An Installation听(Omindawn 2018),听Objects from a Borrowed Confession听(Ahsahta 2017), and听Someone Shot my Book听(University of Michigan Press 2018). Earlier books include听100 Notes on Violence听(Ahsahta 2010),听RAG听(Omnidawn, 2014), and听Think Tank听(Solid Objects 2015).听听With Jeffrey Robinson she is the co-editor of听Active Romanticism听(University of Alabama Press 2015). Her co-translation of Leslie Kaplan鈥檚听Excess-The Factory听was published by Commune Editions in 2018.听Mud, Blood, and Ghosts: Populist, Eugenics, and Spiritualism in the American West听is forthcoming from University of Nebraska Press in 2023.听听
Carr was a 2011-12 NEA fellow. She has collaborated with dance artists K.J. Holmes and Gesel Mason. With Tim Roberts she is the co-founder of Counterpath Press, Counterpath Gallery, and Counterpath Community Garden in Denver.听;听;听听
