  • Eligible applicants will have at least junior standing & an overall CU GPA of 2.5 or higher*. *Priority consideration will be given to applicants based on academic standing.
  • Forty (40) hours of work is required for each earned internship credit hour (3 credits=120 hours)
  • Illegible applications will not be considered!

Written Application

The written application includes three sections: your resumé, personal internship objectives, and writing sample. Please complete these sections, save them in a Word document, and submit them (along with this application) by email to Rachael Deagman Simonetta.

Please submit a resumé that includes any relevant academic/volunteer/work experience. (Don’t let the resumé requirement intimidate you. We’ll work together to improve this document in the internship class).

Please briefly outline your personal internship objectives and tell us why you think you should be considered for an English internship (1 page or less). You might also identify any internships sites that you think would be a good fit for you. (Your objective section should show evidence that you’ve researched the organization websites if you opt to mention any particular organization).
