Graduation stoles are available for undocumented students by request at no cost to students. The white stoles feature the CU Boulder logo and a butterfly emblem.

Email Stephanie.Roberts-2@colorado.edu to request a stole and determine arrangements for pickup or mailing.

Students who have earned an Active Learning medal, Latin Honors medal, or Engineering Honors Program medal have been emailed and can pick those up at the Engineering Dean鈥檚 Office reception desk between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. weekdays. The Engineering Dean鈥檚 Office is located at the east end of the Engineering Center Lobby.

Diplomas for May graduates are expected to be mailed June 28. The last day to update your address where you would like to recieve your diploma is June 1. Follow these听.

Parents, students or anyone else听can place an order for a commencement program (limit 4) through the听CU Commencement website.

Names of students graduating in fall 2020, spring 2021 and August 2021 will be in the program, if the student submitted an application听to graduate by the deadline.

Co-taught by Herbst Professor Scot Douglass and Dr. Mark Kissler (CU Medical School faculty/University Hospital Physician), the course 鈥淢edical Humanities鈥� explores the stories we tell about disease and healing, the story that scientific clinical medicine tells about itself, and the practice of medicine. The course will be taught as a live synchronous hybrid course鈥攊n-person and simultaneously remote. It is worth 3 upper division Humanities/Social Sciences credits and open to all students (email herbst@colorado.edu if you have less than 57 credit hours). The EDAB is composed of undergraduate engineering students who are interested in helping college administration identify, understand and impact student needs in the College of Engineering and Applied Science. This is a wonderful leadership opportunity as well as an opportunity to help improve the engineering student experience.

In addition to the students, the EDAB members are Mary Steiner (Assistant Dean for Students), Rhonda Hoenigman (Associate Dean for Undergraduate Education), Terri Wright (Assistant Dean for Access, Inclusion and Student Programs), Megan Harris (Director of Student Success) and Sharon Anderson (Director of Active Learning). The Engineering Dean鈥檚 Advisory Board will meet once a month throughout the academic year.

The International Student Advisory Board was created to amplify the voices and concerns of international students within CU Engineering, to raise the visibility of our multicultural student body, to foster community building, and to ensure the college leadership acts proactively to improve the student experience.

Board members attend monthly meetings, help select future board members, and are committed to inclusive culture, to serving the needs of all engineering international students, and to the success and sustainability of the ISAB.

Venture Partners at CU Boulder has launched the Pandemic Hyper Accelerator for Science and Technology (PHAST) to support the translation of CU-developed COVID-19 innovations into new businesses. The six-month accelerator program starts virtually in June. Participants receive entrepreneurial training, funding and mentorship from seasoned entrepreneurs-in-residence.

PHAST also culminates in a Demo Day, which provides a chance for angel investors, venture capitalists and the startup community to see pitches and discuss deal opportunities. PHAST is taking applications through May 21, and it鈥檚 open to all CU Boulder students, faculty and staff.

Designing for Defense finale

Student groups will show their pitch videos for the entrepreneurial solutions that they have made to Department of Defense problems over the course of this semester.
