If you鈥檙e interested in studying abroad this summer or fall, it is not too late to apply! Spend your Maymester (May 12 鈥� June 2) immersed in China's rich history and modern identity and earn 3 credits for ASIA 4300: China Speed: Modernity, Memory & Heritage. Virtual tours will take you through two main themes: "Modernity and Memory" and "Rural Urbanization and Infrastructure Development.鈥� This Global Seminar was awarded funding by the Center for Asian Studies through the Tang Fund for 2021, so each student will receive a generous scholarship that covers most of the cost of this course. Total cost for in-state students is $531; $2,331 for out-of-state students.听The program is open to all majors, there are no prerequisites, and it is also H&SS approved.听To apply, email sarah.westmoreland@colorado.edu. Are you interested in leadership and want to improve the College of Engineering and Applied Science?

Apply to be a General Member or听Director for the 2021-22 academic year in the University of Colorado Engineering Council. The council acts as the students' voice to administration. UCEC also hosts annual events like E-Week and Engineering Immersion. They also fund and support engineering student organizations.

UCEC is also seeking applicants for a new CU Student Government Senator for the upcoming year. Main听responsibilities include:

• Representing the engineering college at CUSG meetings and Council of Colleges and Schools meetings
• Holding office hours to allow students to approach you with ideas or issues
• Helping shape a budget of $24 million that is allocated across the campus
• Creating and supporting any initiatives that are important to you and the engineering college

You should expect to contribute about 5 to 10 hours per week to this position. The position is paid.

Lockheed Martin hosted an open-ended word problem to test students' problem-solving skills during听E-Week. Engineers competed to come up with听the most compelling solution to mitigate lunar dust during missions to the moon's surface. Congratulations to the winners!
