The college has designated 15 rooms in the Engineering Center for students to study safely while on campus. Rooms mayÌýbe used by only one person at a time. They have a desk, chair, sanitizer, towels and a trash can and are cleaned regularly. Rooms cannot be reserved and are available on a first-come, first-served basis through the end of the year. Online discussion forums are a great tool for communication.ÌýCanvas has its own platform, but tools like Piazza and Slack can also be used. Forums allow for multi-directional communication between and among students, the instructor, teaching assistants, etc.ÌýThis often leads to richer discussion about a topic and are available 24/7.

If office hours aren’t quite enough and your course doesn’t have an online discussion forum, ask your instructor or TA about setting one up soon!

New Venture Launch is a unique course designed to help student teams convert their ideas into viable businesses so that pursuing this venture is a real alternative to going on the job market after graduation. In addition to direct coaching and mentoring, this course provides generous financial support to cover the team's legal, insurance, marketing and other expenses. National Conference on Undergraduate ResearchÌý- Early Deadline

The National Conference on Undergraduate Research will take place virtually April 12-14, 2021. This is a great opportunity for undergraduates in CEAS to present their research work. Submit an abstract by Nov. 1 for the early decision deadline and special registration rates. Final abstract deadline is Dec. 1.
