This event is specifically geared toward first- and second-year students majoring in or intending to major in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering and applied mathematics.

Do you want advice from Google engineers and recruiters on how to maximize each year of school to ensure that you're industry-ready for internships and full-time opportunities? Join us to receive detailed tips on Google programs/internships to consider for each year, crafting your resume, preparing for technical interviews and communicating effectively with your recruiter.听

If your engineering student society or group needs some funding for the academic year, you can听request student organization funding from the college.

In the request form, you will be asked to supply some information about your student organization, attach your bylaws and/or mission statement and submit a tentative budget showing sources of your organization's income as well as proposed events/costs.

The W+OCP is an organization dedicated to supporting URM/women+/BIPOC who are considering applying to graduate programs in STEM. We will host our free, virtual Graduate Applications 101 workshop on the application process and beyond on Friday, Oct. 14, covering best practices for applying to competitive programs while creating a space of support for URM women+/BIPOC. Beyond the one-day workshop, each accepted participant will receive opportunities for personalized coaching on their applications through the fall 2022 semester, as well as becoming part of a larger alumni community.听 We encourage anyone who is considering graduate school to apply!听

Students: W+OCP plans to accept 50 workshop participants to this national program from all demographics; however, priority and focus will be given to competitive Black, Native American/Indigenous/ Pacific Islander, and Latina/x women+ applicants who plan to apply for graduate school in STEM fields in fall 2022 and 2023.

Would you like to support the college鈥檚 mission to recruit and retain an academically prepared and diverse student body? Do you love talking to others and promoting all that CU Engineering has to offer? If so, you might be a good fit for our Engineering Ambassador team.

These students provide tours of the Engineering Center and assist with recruitment efforts for the college. They also work over the summer and throughout the academic year to support students with the advising process and occasionally provide some peer advising consultations.
