Take the initiative to connect with your academic advisor regularly so that you can make connections, access resources, understand your degree requirements and more.听Visit Buff Portal Advising鈥痶o make an individual appointment or to view their office hours for drop-in meetings.

You may have an 鈥渁dvising hold鈥� for an individual appointment, or group advising session, on your student account. These holds will prevent you from enrolling in classes for next semester, so you鈥檒l want to connect with your advisor well ahead of your enrollment appointment. Now would be the perfect time to do so! 鈥�Resolving all holds and to-do items鈥痑re important steps to attend to each term. And even if you don鈥檛 have an advising hold, your advisor would be happy to meet with you.听After meeting with an advisor, you will receive a quick survey鈥攚e value your feedback and hope you will take a moment to let us know how we are doing!

Engineering Peer Advisors are knowledgeable, trained and friendly engineering students who can assist you with everything from deciding what major is right for you, customizing your college experience, discovering student societies and organizations, tips on talking with faculty, and much more! Drop-in Advising Hours
Visit the Engineering Peer Advisors webpage for in-person and virtual opportunities to connect. Drop-In advising hours are available throughout the week (visible in Buff Portal Advising).

Registration Refreshers
Come join a virtual session with an Engineering Peer Advisor as they help prepare you for spring 2025 registration. They will walk you through your degree audit, help you select classes for your major, and review enrollment essentials like add/drop/swap. These weekly sessions will run from Oct. 16-Nov. 14 and are found in Buff Portal Advising. Send any general questions to our Engineering Peer Advisors at engineering.advising@colorado.edu.

Peer Academic Coaches are current CU Boulder CEAS undergraduate students who are in junior or senior standing. They meet one-on-one with students to discuss academic skill building strategies that can positively impact studying, test taking, planning and organization! Schedule a 15-minute appointment in Buff Portal Advising. In the meantime, drop in without an appointment at one of our locations!
