Connecting with your academic advisor
Professional academic advisors are your partners in crafting and enhancing your educational experience at CU. Take the initiative to connect with your academic advisor regularly so that you can make connections, access resources, understand your degree requirements and more. Visit Buff Portal Advising to make an individual appointment or to view their office hours for drop-in meetings.
You may have an “advising hold” – and possibly an additional “faculty mentoring hold” – on your student account. These holds will prevent you from enrolling in classes for next semester, so you’ll want to connect with your advisor (and/or faculty mentor) well ahead of your enrollment appointment. Now would be the perfect time to do so! Resolving all holds and to-do items are important steps to attend to each term. Even if you don’t have an advising hold, your advisor would be happy to meet with you.
