颁辞苍蝉颈诲别谤听nominating a fellow student who is graduating with their bachelor鈥檚 degree in December 2023 for a College of Engineering and Applied Science award!听These eight听undergraduate awards bestowed at graduation represent the values of the college and promote important themes among the student body.

Please review the criteria associated with each award and consider听entering a nomination by Friday, Oct. 13 (self-nominations are not allowed).听If the nominee wishes to be considered for a particular award, they will need to provide further materials to complete their nomination.听 Awardees will be notified by early November.

Professional academic advisors鈥痑re your partners in crafting and enhancing your educational experience at CU. Take the initiative to connect with your academic advisor regularly so that you can make connections, access resources, understand your degree requirements and more.听 Visit听Buff Portal Advising鈥痶o make an individual appointment or to view their office hours for drop-in meetings.

You may have an 鈥渁dvising hold鈥� for an individual appointment, or group advising session, on your student account.听These holds will prevent you from enrolling in classes for next semester, so you鈥檒l want to connect with your advisor well ahead of your enrollment appointment.听Now would be the perfect time to do so! 鈥�Resolving all holds and to-do items鈥痑re important steps to attend to each term.听And even if you don鈥檛 have an advising hold, your advisor would be happy to meet with you.听 After meeting with an advisor, you will receive a quick survey鈥攚e value your feedback and hope you will take a moment to let us know how we are doing!

All CU Boulder students are invited to join the free Forever Buffs Network Mentorship program this fall. When you sign up as a mentee, you鈥檒l be paired with a CU alum who can help you reach your personal and professional ambitions. The mentorship program runs Oct. 1 through May 12, 2024. Learn more about the mentoring program and sign up on the free by Sept. 29.

罢丑别听 is a new initiative that provides participating students, known as Lattice Scholars, with support in the areas of financial wellness, academic success, and building relationships and connections in the College of Engineering & Applied Science (CEAS).

We are hiring current engineering students to join the team as mentors. In addition to supporting students in building skills to thrive while at CU Boulder, a major focus of the program is financial wellness 鈥� exploring their relationship to money, understanding how to budget, practicing responsible resource stewardship. Mentors will offer guidance and support based on personal experience and information provided in Lattice mentor training.

Compensation & work: Lattice mentors will earn $18 per hour and will work between 3-5 hours each week, with the possibility for additional work based on mentors鈥� involvement in special projects and other program activities.

The CUbit Quantum Education Undergraduate Advisory Council is a small group of undergraduate students who will collaborate with faculty, researchers, and administrators to enhance and expand quantum education initiatives at CU Boulder. This council will play a pivotal role in guiding the development of quantum courses, resources, and programs to ensure that our university serves the needs of undergraduates interested in quantum education and careers.
