Sign up for a mock interview with a CU Engineering alum

The is partnering with the University of Colorado Engineering Council to offer current CU Engineering students an opportunity to brush up on their interview skills and offer guidance. Career fair season is right around the corner, and mock interviews are a low-stress way to navigate the difficulties of interviewing for a job or internship.听

You can sign up to speak with alumni across all majors and who work at companies such as Apple, Amazon, Siemens, Chevron, and more! Each meeting will last 25 minutes, with the first 20 minutes allocated to conducting the interview and the last 5 minutes reserved for constructive feedback and discussion.听

Funding available for student organizations through Sept. 22

Funding for College of Engineering and Applied Science student organizations or societies is now available. Complete an application and attach your organization鈥檚 bylaws by Sept. 22. Notifications of funding will be sent out in early October.听

In the past few years, awards have been $400-$500. In order to receive funding, your organization must be registered with the Center for Student Involvement as a Recognized Student Organization (RSO).

Get a minor in business: Apply by Oct. 5

罢丑别听Business Minor is a 12-credit program designed to supplement any major and develop听sought-after career skills in as little as two semesters. Admitted students have access to numerous Leeds School of Business resources, including its nationally recognized professional mentorship program, ongoing professional development events and assorted career-advancing certificates.听The deadline to apply for spring enrollment is Oct. 5 Please contact leedsminor@colorado.edu with questions.

Join the International Peer Mentor Program

Are you looking to make a positive difference in someone鈥檚 life, create new friendships and build leadership and intercultural skills? Then the International Peer Mentor Program is looking for you!

New international students can apply to become a mentee. You鈥檒l be matched with a mentor to help with your adjustment to CU and to answer your questions.
Continuing international students can apply to become a mentor to new international students.听

Apply to study abroad in spring 2022

CU Boulder offers numerous study abroad options all around the globe, and it's never too early to start planning. Many of these programs are now resuming, and range from Sept. 15 to Oct. 1 for spring 2022 programs.听

Ball Corp. welcomes participants for BIPOC mentorship program

Ball Corp.听is seeking mentees to participate in their first annual Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) mentorship program, and they invite you to participate in what promises to be a highly rewarding experience. The program will consist of professional mentors from the corporate and aerospace sides of their business. All engineering/STEM students are welcome to participate in the program, including those individuals who wish to share their unique, personal experiences in all areas of life.

The program is scheduled to begin in October 2021 and last through May 2022.听In partnership with your selected mentor, you will have the opportunity to network, learn听and engage with other听local engineers. If you are interested in this program, please听听by Monday, Sept. 20.
