The Materials Science and Engineering Program is offering its first undergraduate course! This is a great introduction to the vast world of materials and is part of the MSE minor. In MSEN 2000, you will:

• Learn from experts in the field through guest lectures from industry, national labs, and academia.
• Gain experience in quantitative methods to solve materials science and engineering problems related to innovative technologies
• Recognize ethical and professional responsibilities when designing new materials.

Join Professor Jean Hertzberg from mechanical engineering — a longtime folk-dancing enthusiast — for this opportunity to get moving and have fun. DNCE 2909-001 will be an introduction to folk dances from around the world, as performed in the international folk dance community of the U.S. This one-credit class can be used for humanities and social science requirements — you don't need a partner, previous dance experience, or even coordination! Folk dancing is for everybody and is great for your brain. Class will be held on Mondays from 5-6:15 p.m. in the Imig Music Building, Room S317.
