Engineering Peer Advisors serve as a positive role model, leader, and a resource for students. Build relationships with your fellow engineering peers by helping them with their degree plans, providing them with academic resources, and exploring opportunities with them to customize their college experience.

Qualifications:

• Current enrolled CEAS students in good academic standing with a GPA of 2.0 or higher, 2.5 or higher preferred.
• Available to work at least 5-10 hours per week during the summer, fall, and spring semesters (excluding breaks during the academic year).听
• Able to commit to the position for at least a full year, May 2024 - April 2025.

ExxonMobil Corporation has partnered with the Hispanic Heritage Foundation (HHF) to create fellowship opportunities in the STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) for Hispanic college students.听Through HHF's Latinos On Fast Track (LOFT) program, ExxonMobil seeks to nurture motivated college students across the country, with a passion for Engineering and Science.

Selected students will be exposed to a top-quality company by participating in this signature mentoring program. Each student will be paired up with an ExxonMobil engineer or scientist to learn how their knowledge and skills are applied in a corporate setting.

Fellowship Components

• The Fellowship consists of five 1-hour meetings with a mentor (virtual or in person)听
• Exclusive curriculum to introduce Fellows to ExxonMobil and career opportunities
• $1,000 educational grant
• In addition, the potential opportunity to interview for ExxonMobil positions (internships/full-time) upon successful completion of the Fellowship.

Applications for the 2024-25 Quantum Scholars cohort are now open! Receive a $2,500 fellowship and join a cohort of leading CU Boulder students committed to learning and developing their efforts in quantum sciences and engineering.

Quantum Scholars is open to full-time undergraduate students in a related engineering discipline, including engineering physics, computer science, electrical engineering, etc. Students from underrepresented communities in quantum science and engineering are strongly encouraged to apply. Over 150 high school students from 4 different schools will present physics & engineering projects they worked on under the guidance of CU Partnerships for Informal Science Education in the Community (PISEC) mentors. Check out their cool projects and talk to eager high school students who are potential future engineers and future CU students! Refreshments provided.

InclusiVOTE is an initiative aimed toward increasing voting efforts, educating on voting suppression, and creating a more comprehensible, accessible resource on how to register and vote. They听are students from San Diego Mesa College & CU Boulder with a desire to create change, and they want to learn more about what exactly the public wants changed first and foremost! Join them for some games and fun trivia related to elections and voting. Participants will receive a free pin and a chance to win a $25 Amazon gift card!
