Global Engineering - Spring 2019 Study Abroad Deadlines

It's not too late to apply to study abroad in spring 2019, but you must act quickly! Spring deadlines range from September 17th to October 1st!

Six new engineering study abroad programs launch this year!

CU's College of Engineering & Applied Science is committed to providing top-notch engineering education across the world. With six new programs opening across three continents, the world awaits your exploration--as soon as spring 2019!

    Australia

    • is Australia’s top engineering university located in the beautiful city of Melbourne, which is consistently ranked among the world’s most livable cities. World Class facilities combined with easy access to the ocean make Monash an idyllic choice.
    Cathedral in Madrid

    Europe

    • is Georgia Tech’s satellite campus in Metz, France. Take GTU engineering coursework taught in English while living in the beautiful city of Metz, situated between Paris and Frankfurt, just south of Luxembourg. Plenty of French language and H&SS coursework is likewise available.
    • is situated in the heart of Munich, one of Germany’s largest and most historic cities. Surrounded by mountains and located a stone’s throw from BMW headquarters, Munich offers an ideal location for studying engineering (in English) with a great quality of life. Ìý
    • is one of the UK’s most prestigious universities, located in a vibrant, student-centered city. Enjoy UK living at its best with easy access to the rest of Europe through Manchester's bustling international airport.
    • is a medium-sized Jesuit university located in the heart of Madrid, Spain. Comillas engineering courses are all derived from U.S. engineering coursework and are taught in English during the spring semester.

    South America

    • has partnered with Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla, an ABET-accredited campus located in a beautiful coastal city. This is CU’s first engineering option in South America and offers engineering courses taught in English with a number of additional courses available.

    You can also pursue a number of CU-taught global seminars, including four designed exclusively for engineering students:

    • Ìý(Rome, Italy). No prerequisites. Earn upper-division H&SS credit.
    • Ìý(Vienna, Austria). No prerequisites. Earn upper-division H&SS credit.
    • Ìý(Xi’ian, China). No prerequisites. Earn upper-division H&SS credit.
    • Ìý(Paris, France). Prerequisites: CVEN 3525 or MCEN 2063 or ASEN 3112.
    netherlands

    Don’t have much time to be abroad? Enroll in a global intensive this spring where you’ll take a semester course taught at CU followed by a 10-12 day trip abroad right after finals. Engineering Global Intensives for spring 2019 include:

    • (Kampala, Uganda). No prerequisites. Engineering LeadershipÌýClass credit. This is an optional one-credit extension of COEN3050.
    • (Lecco, Italy). This is an optional one-credit extension of AREN4110, HVAC System Design. AREN4110 is a required prerequisite.
    • Ìý(Copenhagen, Denmark & Amsterdam, Netherlands). Perquisites: PHYS1110 & APPM1350

    Need help paying for study abroad?

    AsÌýa CU student, nearly all of your scholarships and will follow you abroad, and CU exchange programs cost approximately the same as CU resident tuition. Additionally, the Education Abroad Office and the Engineering International Programs Office offer thousands of dollars in each year.
