Global intensives are spring semester courses taught on CU鈥檚 campus that include a 10-12 day trip abroad. With spring registration open, NOW is the time to register for these amazing learning opportunities, and are available!听

  The Netherlands and Denmark are flagship nations in engineering sustainable solutions to slowing climate change. Both nations not only have dedicated policies regarding minimization of greenhouse gas emissions but foster cultures of sustainability and environmental consciousness.

  Uganda and Rwanda are located in East Africa and feature diverse natural, rural and urban environments. Both countries offer excellent modern case studies of leadership approaches to achieving shared peace and prosperity.

  Lecco is nestled between Lake Como and the Italian Alps in northern Italy and is home to a satellite campus of the the Politecnico di Milano.听 The Lecco campus was founded in 1997 and offers a variety of engineering degree programs. The campus is home to a variety of laboratories and offers a unique look at energy efficiency in action.

Calling all engineers! Go beyond the classroom and apply complex theories of structural analysis to some of the world's most iconic landmarks right in the heart of Paris. Earn three engineering credits with CU Engineering Professor Victor Saouma during Maymester while living and learning in a bustling urban center where you can explore the Parisian culture and daily life in your free time.

Culture Wars in Rome is a two-week course led by Paul Diduch, an instructor in the CU Boulder Herbst Program of Humanities. Students earn three Humanities (or elective) credits through lectures and visits to major sites in and near Rome. Spend your Maymester walking, talking, eating and exploring in central Rome!

Self-Awareness and Images of the Other in Xi'an, China will give you a firsthand look at China in the making by studying it through literature and integrating into campus life at Xi鈥檃n Jiaotong University. Excursions to see the Terra Cotta Army, the Tang Dynasty tomb, and an overnight trip to Beijing, the Great Wall and the Forbidden City are included. This program offers each participant a generous Tang Scholarship through the Center for Asian Studies.

Spend your Maymester earning three Humanities (or elective) credits in Vienna! Students will explore how a single city gave rise to such a rich culture. Field trips around Vienna will be offered almost every day.
