Inclusive Culture Council
The mission of the Inclusive Culture Council (ICC) is to provide strategic leadership and transparency for cultivating an interculturally competent and supportive environment in the College of Engineering and Applied Science where all people and voices are considered and valued. The ICC strives to bring leaders within the college together for systematic, intentional and integrative planning and to create an environment of education, belonging and growth for students, faculty, and staff. The council works closely leaders and organizations across the university to ensure alignment with the university’s mission.
The council has the following responsibilities to students, faculty, and staff across the college:
- counsels and makes recommendations to the dean and senior leadership
- acts as a catalyst for change
- develops initiatives to improve the sense of belonging
- monitors progress towards improving the sense of belonging
- amplifies evidence-based strategies to address overall college  culture
- supports and advises respective units, departments and programs and the college at large on best practices to improve a sense of belonging
- serves as a communication and collaboration hubÂ
