Biography

Matt attended CU Boulder from 2011-2015 in pursuit of a Mechanical Engineering degree. He had always been interested in engineering applications and knew it was a career path he wanted to pursue, but also knew that he would eventually want to move into the project management side of things and felt it is an important skill set for engineers to have. Matt imagined that he would start out as a design engineer and eventually move into PM or sales or similar. Instead, he found a great opportunity with starting as a Project Engineer, and has since grown with the company to become their Director of Business Development.

Q&A

What was your favorite graduate EMEN class/professor? Why?
I enjoyed all my classes with Seth Murray. I think Business Methods and Economics for Engineers helped me the most with my understanding of finances, but I really enjoyed Engineering and Entrepreneurship for the Developing World as it was a very cool practice to work on realistic projects developing products that really help people who need it and helped view things from a different light.

How would you summarize your experience with the program?
It played a key role in getting me to where I am now and I am happy that I pursued the certificate.
