Q&A

What made you decide to pursue a degree or certificate in Engineering Management?
I wanted to learn project and business management skills.

Why did you choose the Engineering Management Program at CU Boulder?
The remote option, with the ability to still come to campus and interact with other students was a key factor in my decision.

How did the program help you in your career?
The joint student projects and course work helped me improve my communications and management skills - eventually leading to a series of management and consulting roles.

What was your favorite graduate EMEN class/professor? Why?
Dr Luftig -  because he challenged the class to examine assumptions and dig deeper when thinking about ethics. This ended up being a very engaging and interesting course.

What advice would you give a new student in the program?
Take advantage of the connections you will build with your classmates and professors. And also, you get out of it what you put in to the program.

How would you summarize your experience with the program?
I originally wanted to study project management or get an MBA, but the EMP program gave me a broader perspective and additional skills that have proven valuable to me, glad I made this choice.
