Lian has experience in medical, defense, and aerospace manufacturing and quality. He holds a BS聽in Mechanical Engineering and an ME聽in Engineering Management and is currently a Quality Manager at Barber-Nichols.

What made you decide to pursue a degree or certificate in Engineering Management?
I was Interested in management and still hold a tie to technical fields.
Why did you choose the Engineering Management Program at CU Boulder?
I earned my聽undergraduate degree from CU Boulder, and had heard about the Program and was interested in the Program since then.
How did the program help you in your career?
I was able to apply the leadership and statistic skills that I learned to my jobs.
What was your favorite graduate EMEN class/professor? Why?
I enjoyed most of my classes because of the application environment.
What advice would you give a new student in the program?
Participate in the valuable class discussions.

Applied management skills, great learning from real life examples instead of just textbook learning.
