Lauren is a passionate learning and development professional with over eight years of experience. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts, a Graduate Certificate in Leadership and Management, a Master of Science in Organizations and Management, and is currently obtaining a Master's in Education. Lauren’s expertise areas include emotional intelligence, CliftonStrengths, employee engagement, trust, conflict, leadership development, and coaching, to name a few. Lauren holds a certification in many training areas including a Certified Professional in Training Management (CPTM). She currently works as the Training & Development Manager for the Â鶹ÊÓƵ.

What made you decide to pursue a degree or certificate in Engineering Management?
I wanted to continue my development in leadership.

Tuition benefit and on the campus where I work.
How did the program help you in your career?
I have been able to progress to higher level leadership roles.
What was your favorite graduate EMEN class/professor? Why?
Barb Lawton, Authentic Leadership. It was an honest deep dive into self exploration.
What advice would you give a new student in the program?
Take the necessary time to do the awkward introspective work. Being able to lead people is one of the most critical competencies for today and the future.
