Biography

During his undergradate years, Gage worked as an Engineering Ambassador, TA, for a sophomore mechanical engineering course, Robotics Research Assistant, BOLD Student Assistant, Graphic Designer and Structural/Systems Integration Engineer at Colorado Space Grant. He graduated from CU Boulder Mechanical Engineering in May 2018 with a minor in Space and a minor in Engineering Management and was soon after hired on at Ball Aerospace as a Mechanical Engineer where he currently works. In January 2019, along with working at Ball, Gage started a master's degree program in Robotics Engineering at The Worcester Polytechnic Institute. In August 2019, he also started as a Senior Design Director for CU's mechanical engineering senior design course.

What made you decide to pursue a degree or certificate in Engineering Management?
I had a strong interest in learning about how programs are conducted from a management level.

Why did you choose the Engineering Management Program at CU Boulder?
This program allowed me to learn more about project management with a technical focus!

How did the program help you in your career?
I have a better understanding of program structures and why my program managers make decisions.

What was your favorite graduate EMEN class/professor? Why?
Intro to Systems Engineering. Really cool course.

What advice would you give a new student in the program?
Talk to your advisor about what useful classes would be and try learning about things that you have no experience in!

How would you summarize your experience with the program? 
Very positive. The requirements were clear, there were always many classes offered and they were well-taught and insightful.
