Q&A

What made you decide to pursue a degree or certificate in Engineering Management?
I wanted to get into a technical leadership role.

Why did you choose the Engineering Management Program at CU Boulder?
One of the best bosses that I have ever worked for recently completed the program and highly recommended it.

How did the program help you in your career?
It definitely accelerated my learning and growth that helped me move into my current leadership position.

What was your favorite graduate EMEN class/professor? Why?
Dr. Daniel Moorer's style of teaching was super engaging. The discussions in his class really helped me internalize and reflect on the material. Dr. Moorer is an incredible leader and role model. I took all of his classes!

How would you summarize your experience with the program?
There wasn’t a week that went by during my time in the EMP that I couldn’t relate something from a recent class discussion to my active professional career experiences. It is a great program that helped accelerate my path into a technical leadership role.

Are there any other comments that you'd like to share?
The Leading Oneself class was incredibly helpful to me in terms of managing my stress and immediate reactions to challenges. After I completed the course, several co-workers and leaders shared that they noticed a positive difference in me and how I work with the people around me.
