Ralphie's Green Stampede sponsor highlight: Eco-Products hits 10 years of outreach success

has been a dedicated partner of Ralphie’s Green Stampede for 10years, and their success has been defined by the perfect alignment of goals between both parties:totransformCU athletic centers into zero waste zones. The current Zero Waste Tailgate was once a smaller program on Franklin Field, designed to educate fans on positive changes while they attended football games, basketball gamesand more. The tailgate has become a success based on the strengths Eco-Products and Ralphie's Green Stampedebring to the table.

Eco-Products is a green company specializing in sustainable waste products. Instead of trying to eliminate disposables (like cups, plates orutensils) altogether, the company has designed these and special waste bags to accommodate for consumer needs while supporting our planet. This critical systems change is supported by the fiery energy and drive of the CU athletics department, fansand students. According to Director of Marketing Sarah Martinez, having CU Boulder as a neighbor is a “perfect alignment of brands,”thanks to our capacity as a campus to support green initiatives.

In looking towards the next 10years, Eco-Products hopes to expand the partnership to include campus entities like residence life and dining. An extended presence could mean a bigger impact that improves CU and Boulder as a whole for students, residentsand tourists alike. This partnership has turned our athletic events into key educational opportunities, from the Tailg8er of the Game to eco-trivia at basketball games. With the passion and tools accessible on both ends, RGS isexcited for the future of CU campus.
