The volleyball team defeated Valparaiso in its first match under new coach Liz Kritza and finished the non-conference schedule 5-4.

<p>Liz Kritza was hired as the Buffs’ head volleyball coach in February, replacing Pi’i Aiu.</p>

<p>Six weeks after ending a season in which the volleyball team lost seven of its final eight matches, athletic director Mike Bohn fired head coach <strong>Pi’i Aiu</strong> (DistSt ex’89) on Jan. 12. </p>
