Shayne Wille Culpepper (PolSci’97), above, along with Adam Goucher (Comm’98) and Danny Reese (A&S’85), was inducted into the Colorado Running Hall of Fame in May.

The football program lost five scholarships due to substandard results on the Academic Progress Rate report for the period from 2005-09. CU officials had anticipated the penalty and thus reduced the scholarships they awarded for the 2009 season.

CU men’s golf coach Roy Edwards signed a recruit, AustralianÌýPatrick WilsonÌýwho is ranked among the world’s top 110 amateur players, according toÌýGolfweekÌýmagazine. Meanwhile, a transfer from Pepperdine, juniorÌýJessica Wallace, has joined the CU women’s golf team. Wallace finished 21st in the 2010 Women’s NCAA Championship Finals.

Former CU women’s basketball playerÌýSherrice KingÌý(Psych ex’93) will be inducted into the Colorado Springs Sports Hall of Fame on Oct. 27.

Seven Coloradans will be among the 15 newcomers joining the CU volleyball team for the 2010 fall season. The list includes transfersÌýRichi BigelowÌýof Littleton,ÌýLydia BlahaÌýof Colorado Springs andÌýAnicia SantosÌýof Frisco, along with recent high school graduatesÌýNichole LindowÌýof Erie,ÌýJessica AschenbrennerÌýof Denver,ÌýHannah WalkerÌýof Colorado Springs andÌýEmily AlexisÌýof Brighton.
