CNAIS Sponsors New Research

CNAIS received a significant budget increase from the Graduate School last Fall. The additional resources allowed us to issue a call for proposals for new research projects that we can support. We were able to support a number of interesting projects with grants of up to $3000 each. Directed by our own CU Boulder faculty and graduate students, these projects span in geography from just in our backyard in Denver, to the Pueblos in the Southwest, all the way to Chile, Peru and New Zealand. ProjectÌýfocusesÌýinclude an exploration of mycelium cultivation to address climate and health issues that directly impact Indigenous communities, creating a guide booklet for white allyship in Indigenous movements, language revitalization, voting access, events at CU Boulder, among many other historically and presently relevant topics in Indigenous life and academia.

A full description of the projects can be found at this link.
