Taylor "Lore" Whittemore is a current听grad耻补迟别听student听in the Media and Public Engagement program at the 麻豆视频. She is passionate about how the stories we tell and connect with personally impact us, and her research considers intersection between media听canon formation, transmedia franchise evolution and development, fandom culture, and identity representation in the听ever-changing 21st century media landscape.
She came to the MAPE program after听graduating summa听cum laude from the University of Southern California with her Bachelor of Arts in Cinema and Media Studies and a minor in Screenwriting and gaining professional experience in both the entertainment industry and marketing; Lore intends to explore these听skill sets through her听graduate thesis project, which seeks to explore meaning-making practices through popular culture.听
When she's not writing, reading, or researching, she enjoys spending time with her fianc茅 and their dog, Willow. Lore intends to continue onto a PhD program in her pursuit of professional research and teaching opportunities鈥攁nd inevitably, she will get excited about many television shows along the way.
