Tim Wieland (Jour’91) brings more than 30 years of broadcast journalism experience to CBS Colorado, where he is currently the general manager. He has previously held the positions of assistant news director and news director at the station. During his tenure, the news department has won the George Foster Peabody Award, several national and regional Edward R. Murrow Awards,and dozens of Emmys.
Wieland has also been a newscast and field producer for CNN, covering events like the Columbine High School shooting in 1999 and both Democratic and Republican national conventions in 2000.
