As spring break approached,Ìýstudents in our chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA)Ìýwere alarmed by social media posts and news coverage of students across the country partying instead of following social distancing guidelines.Ìý Following a conversation with Dawn Doty, CU’s PRSSA advisor and an instructor in our Department of Advertising, Public Relations and Media Design, students launched an Instagram campaign on their account,Ìý. Through pictures and personal stories, the students highlightedÌýloved ones likely to be most at riskÌýand urged fellow college students to stay home in order to #FlattenTheCurve. The campaign also caught the attention of the national chapter of PRSA, which helped to promote it.
