Last semester, while in News Corps, our capstone class for our journalism degrees, we contributed to a class project focusing on the gentrification happening in Denver. The three of us reported on how gentrification was affecting the schools in the area. Through research and reporting we produced a story which included data visualizations, photos, and interviews. Our hope was to shine a light on some of the struggles that some public schools face as a result of the gentrification in the Denver area. We were fortunate enough to have the chance to partner with The Colorado Sun in publishing our work.
