Laura Kasinof is a freelance journalist, writer and researcher whose work focuses on the Middle East. She worked for years in Yemen, and in 2011 covered the anti-government protests in that country for the New York Times. She has written a book about the experience titled, 鈥淒on鈥檛 Be Afraid of the Bullets: an Accidental War Correspondent in Yemen,鈥� which is forthcoming from Arcade. She has reported from Egypt, the Republic of Georgia and the United States.
