Tell us about a moment (or moments) when you felt like you hit your stride or felt like you were “officially” an engineer.
I felt like I hit my stride as an engineer during my internship last summer at a pharmaceutical company working as a global drug development intern, primarily focusing on cell therapies for sickle cell disease. It was extremely rewarding to apply the knowledge I learned in my past classes to develop such curative, innovative medical treatments.

What is your biggest piece of advice for incoming engineering students?
Take advantage of every opportunity and who you are surrounded by! I met some the most brightest, amazing people here at CU that I know will be lifelong friends with. I also had the opportunity to be involved in micro-robotic research and study abroad in Dublin, Ireland. CU is truly a unique place that offers various different experiences if you seek them out!
