What is your favorite memory from your time at CU Boulder?
I can't think of a specific memory as much as the people and places I associate with them. I am so grateful to have met unique and kind people whom I call my friends. The people I met during my time at CU are what made my experience memorable and special, and I will cherish those relationships for a very long time.

What accomplishment are you most proud of, either academically or personally?
I am most proud of how much the Friends of Doctors Without Borders student chapter at CU has grown under my supervision. We expanded our volunteering efforts and now volunteer regularly at the Boulder Shelter for the Homeless and with the Colorado Homeless Assistance with Medicine Program (CHAMP). It has been extremely rewarding to develop relationships both within my club and with our unhoused neighbors. The club has so much potential and momentum right now. I can't wait to see what they accomplish in the years to come, and I am so proud to have been a part of its legacy!

What was the biggest challenge for you during your engineering education? What did you learn from it?
One of the biggest challenges I faced was imposter syndrome. I remember taking my first "real" engineering class, material & energy balances, and failing a big exam. That experience made me feel like I wasn't cut out for engineering, but I persevered and focused that energy on working harder than I had before. I am now so excited and proud to be graduating with an engineering degree this coming May!

What is your advice for incoming engineering students?
Get involved, and don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone! There are so many opportunities to be a part of something that is bigger than yourself. The most impactful personal growth often starts outside of the classroom, and especially, outside of your comfort zone. Find a group or club that you are passionate about and go for it; it's never too late to start!
