Dear Buffs community,

I am honored, humbled and excited to be selected as your next chancellor at the Â鶹ÊÓƵ, starting July 1.

Throughout the search process and especially during my public visit a few weeks ago, it was clear just how much CU means to so many, and I am eager to begin working with all of you at this amazing university. CU Boulder is a remarkable place of innovation, curiosity and creativity, and the opportunity to serve you is truly life-changing.

I want to express my sincere gratitude to CU President Todd Saliman, the Board of Regents, and the members of the search committee for the trust they’ve placed in me, and I look forward to earning your trust as well. I also want to express my appreciation to Chancellor Phil DiStefano for his many years of outstanding service and dedicated leadership to CU, and I am looking forward to having him on campus as a faculty member in the years ahead.

As my family and I prepare to move to Colorado and join the Boulder community, I look forward to meeting many of you and experiencing firsthand what makes this university so incredibly special.
