Rachel received an M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech. She received a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Physics from the University of Florida. She is entering IQ Biology through the Department of Electrical, Computer, and Energy Engineering. Rachel completed her first rotation in Chris Ray's lab in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. She completed her second rotation in Zoe Donaldson's lab in the Department of Molecular, Cellular, Developmental Biology. Rachel's third rotation was completed with Brett Melbourne within the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. For her team rotation, RachelÌýworked with two other IQ students in Cresten Mansfeldt and Lizzy Trower's Labs in the departments of Environmenal Engineering and Geological Sciences. Rachel joined the Ray Lab in May 2023.
