Laurel received B.S. degrees in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Lake Forest College. She is entering IQ Biology through the Department of Biochemistry. Her first rotation was completed with Jerome Fox in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering. Her second rotation was completed with Meciej Walczac in the Department of Chemistry. Her third roation was completed with Aaron Whiteley in the department of Biochemistry. Her team听roation was with Kayla Sprenger and Sara Sawyer in the departments of Chemical and Biological Engineering and Molecular, Cellular, and Deveopmental Biology. Laurel joined the听Whiteley lab in May听2024.
