Activities

Enrichment activities provide additional opportunities for students to socialize, learn new skills, and develop their English fluency. These include:

  • Culture Hour lunchtime activity every Friday, 12:30pm - 1:30pm. 
  • Student clubs like public speaking, hiking, reading club, and free tutoring
  • Weekly events for all students
  • Workshops and guest speakers

Events

The IEC organizes special cultural and community-based field trips and excursions to Boulder, Denver, and other important Colorado destinations. These include visits to museums, national and state parks, local farms, theaters, concerts, art galleries, sporting and holiday events, government buildings, schools, restaurants, on-campus departments, area organizations, and other cultural points of interest. In a safe and friendly environment, students communicate with native speakers of English while gaining hands-on experience with local customs and U.S. culture.
