Originally from the Chicago suburbs, Mackenzie had the opportunity to travel the world from a young age. These adventures sparked a deep passion for people and cultures which eventually led her to pursuing a degree in Anthropology. Her other passion, the arts, guided her career early on while working for a variety of nonprofit arts organizations including The Cabaret (Indianapolis, IN) and the Greater Grand Forks Symphony Orchestra (Grand Forks, ND). This eventually led her to holding the position of Director of Operations at the Empire Arts Center (Grand Forks, ND). As a team member of ALTEC, Mackenzie handles human resources听and financial matters for the unit, and oversees unit operations. She enjoys being a part of听an engaging community where people of all backgrounds can come together and learn.
