Metrolab Workshop: Learning from the Ponderosa Mobile Home Community
During the spring of 2018, more than 40 CU Boulder students and faculty with varied expertise sought solutions for the preservation of Ponderosa Mobile Home Park - a diverse community of 68 homeowners living on land with a long history of infrastructure challenges - , as it transitions to a more resilient model of affordable housing.
Please join us April 27 for a presentation of this work and discussion of how the experience of the Ponderosa community can inform organization and design of affordable housing in Boulder. The discussion will be based on work by students from the Program in Environmental Design, the University of Colorado Law School, Boulder Affordable Housing Research Initiative (BAHRI), Growing Up Boulder (GUB) and the neighborhood.
The Metrolab Workshop is a CU-City of Boulder collaboration applying University research to key urban design, technology and management challenges. Participating faculty/staff include Deborah Cantrell, Aria Dellepiane, Neal Evers, Jennifer Fluri, Bruce Goldstein, Catherine Hill, Brian Muller and Seth Wilberding.
