Miriam Kingsberg Publishes Article in the Asia-Pacific Journal: Japan Focus
Miriam Kingsberg, Assistant Professor of History at CU, published an article in the April issue of the Asia-Pacific Journal: Japan Focus. In "Repatriation But Not 'Return': A Japanese Brazilian Dekasegi Goes Back to Brazil," Kingsberg considers issues of adjustment and identity upon “return” through a case study of “Diogo Pacheco Moriyama,” a mestiço Japanese Brazilian who has lived and worked in Brazil, Japan, and the United States.
