Chinese and Global Governance: From Rule-Followers to Rule-Makers

Scott Kennedy, Associate Professor of the Departments of Political Science and East Asian Languages and Cultures at Indiana University, will come to CU to give a talk on China and its role in global governance as Chinese government agencies, companies, and NGOs are becoming much more significant players in every area of global governance. He will examine how Chinese are learning, utilizing, and shaping the rules of the game in areas such as trade remedies, technical standards setting, and rules governing transnational investment. He will also look at how this development is affected by China's political system.

This event will be on Friday, October 11 at 11:00 a.m. in Koelbel 220. It is sponsored by the Center for Asian Studies and Leeds School of Business.
