Valerie is an Employer Relations Specialist for the College of Engineering & Applied Science. Her role cultivates strong employer partnerships to facilitate engagement for on-campus recruitment and to increase employment and internship opportunities for engineering students. She also works to facilitate connections between employers and students through career services programming. Valerie earned her bachelor's in human resource management from the University of Maryland Global Campus while living in Germany. Her experience in higher education includes recruitment of faculty and staff, admissions, student recruitment and employer engagement.
As a Colorado native, Valerie loves being in the mountains! She also enjoys attending concerts, trying new restaurants, reading, traveling, volunteering at local secondary schools and spending time with her family and friends.
