Within a changing and increasingly complex business environment, coupled with the dramatic progress of digital technology, the Division of Organizational Leadership and Information Analytics (OLIA) was created to provide future leaders with skills that are enhanced by the power and interpretation of sophisticated information. OLIA students are expected to develop strong analytical skills, professional integrity, rigorous decision-making, and the ability to execute by leading. Through evidence-based practice and firsthand experience, we provide our students with the opportunity to make a positive difference.
Our internationally recognized faculty are involved in vanguard research in leadership, knowledge representation, organizational justice, cybersecurity, diversity management, text mining, occupational health, technological transformation, organizational development, and innovation, among other areas.
Students completing the OLIA area of emphasis are viewed by potential employers as having the education required to successfully compete in the team-oriented, technologically driven, and globally competitive environments of the 21st century. OLIA students must choose one of the following tracks:
Information Analytics Track
Students graduating from the Information Analytics track are exposed to a wide range of tools, methods, and techniques for addressing issues such as the selection and implementation of new technologies.
Talent Management Track
The Talent Management track focuses on organizational excellence by hiring, training, rewarding, and retaining an organization’s people.Ìý Effective talent managers provide competitive advantage by developing talent:Ìý people who excel not only in job related skills, but in collaborative and innovative capabilities
Leadership Track
The leadership track is designed to provide real-world insights and best practices for future leaders to achieve key strategic objectives . Students who complete this track will learn the skills and will be provided with the tools to inspire others to accomplish organizational objectives.
