Before coming to Leeds in 2016, Bonnie Auslander taught business communications at a variety of institutions, including Duke University鈥檚 School of Business and Cornell鈥檚 Hotel School. She founded and for nine years directed the Kogod Center for Business Communications at American University in Washington, D.C. Also while at American University Auslander created the highly popular 鈥渁udience dog鈥 program which pairs panicked presenters with patient pooches. To date the program has been covered by the New York Times ( and 鈥 among the most watched/ viewed of 2016), Fox News, Al Jazeera鈥檚 news channel, the Washington Post, CBS News, and a host of other publications.

Auslander, who is a published poet, essayist, radio commentator and mother of two, lives in Lyons with two cats and one pandemic pup.
