As the summer kicks off, our MBA student-run consulting firm, , is offering a to help businesses find real-time solutions to pressing questions. They leveraged university resources to research valuable trend data from more than 300 sources.

Here’s a sample trend and tactic they derived:

Trend: Growth of Online Retail

Details: Brick and mortar retail sales are currently (STILL!) 10x larger than online. However, online sales are growing by 15% YoY and 67% of millennials prefer shopping online.

Implication: Your website is an essential sales tool, and must work in concert with social media to take advantage of the explosive growth of online retail.

Tactic: To move customers effectively through the funnel, optimize your landing pages using a tool like Unbounce.com. To ensure you’re driving people to your website with your social media, stay abreast of the top 10 hashtags in your industry, then comment on the top 5 trending posts each day. Then, make sure you’re linking to your website in your bio or on your page. (Note that this is an organic social media strategy).

The workshop will take place on June 5th from 2:00-5:00 PM at the Boulder Public Library. Principal consultants will present the workshop, and then break into small groups to tailor recommendations to your specific needs. Seating is extremely limited to ensure that each business receives a focused analysis and actionable advice.
